Melewar Islamic Investment Company Ltd (MIIC) is a boutique investment management company that offers an exclusive Syariah-compliant Private Equity service to Members of Royal Families and High Net-Worth Clients within Malaysia and South East Asia. MIIC commenced operations in 2008, as a direct result of the Global Financial Crisis, with the sole objective of managing and growing the wealth of key personalities, in Malaysia, with risk exposure mitigation, as its fundamental tenet. Since then, our range of clients has grown to include key personalities and high net-worth individuals in South East Asia.

The key to MIIC’s success has been in its strong client-centric, relationship-base management team, in communicating the principals of its investment philosophy. MIIC Al-Amin Infrastructure Fund

The Fund is a private equity closed-end investment fund that was established to invest in infrastructure and related businesses located in Europe and Asia. The Fund aims to deliver sustainable cash yields and strong capital growth from its diversified portfolio of quality infrastructure investments. It is suitable for those who have a medium to long term investment horizon and seeking steady returns higher than general investment accounts while complying with Syariah requirements.

MIIC Amanah Mudharabah Fund

This Fund aims to provide long-term capital growth mainly through investments in securities with superior growth potential, which conforms to Syariah principles. As such, income will be incidental to the overall capital growth objective and a substantial portion of the income from investments will be reinvested, rather than distributed. This Open-Ended Fund is best suited to investors who are seeking a diversified portfolio of Islamic equities, with an emphasis on net asset value growth, rather than regular income distribution.

MIIC Dana Adib Energy Fund

This fund offers investors exposure to companies in the USA and emerging countries in the Asia Pacific region that are engaged in various aspects of the energy business. This fund focuses on energy related industries, such as oil, natural gas, coal and green technologies. In addition, the fund may be invested up to 100% in foreign securities, which can be more volatile than Malaysian domestic holdings. This fund is suitable for investors seeking high capital appreciation over the medium to long term.

MIIC Islamic Equity Fund

The Fund aims to achieve consistent capital appreciation over the long term by primarily investing in Syariah-compliant securities with good growth prospects. Asia Pacific's growth, largely driven by China is now the most important force driving the world's economy. Investors can potentially grow their value of investments in the longer term by investing in equities across Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) through this Fund. The Fund focuses on seeking value for investors by selecting a core portfolio of lower volatility equities for steady growth-potential capital appreciation.

MIIC Global Opportunity Fund

Following the global financial crisis in 2007/08, governments around the world are pump-priming their economy with various stimulus package to revive their respective economies. We are currently witnessing differing levels of economic expansion across all economies. The fund will capitalise on the potential opportunities arising from the different market conditions resulting from this economic expansion phase by dynamically investing in multi-asset classes that are expected to do well. This Fund will provide investors with an opportunity to participate in the potential benefits from this economic outlook on the global economies in the medium term.
